Meeting in Charlotte, NC June 24-25, the board of The Columbia Partnership made significant decisions that boldly move the ministry organization forward in its service to leaders, congregations, and denominations.
A Christian ministry organization of seven partners and eight associates, The Columbia Partnership transforms the Church for vital ministry through an emphasis in five areas: Transforming Congregations, Transforming Denominations, Coaching Leaders, Sharing Knowledge, and Developing Resources.
To increase their capacity TCP invited four additional Ministry Associates to join with them in key areas of emphasis; bringing the total number of associates to eight. Three will work in the area of Developing Resources, and one in Coaching Leaders. One new associate in Developing Resources will also assist with Transforming Congregations.
The new Ministry Associates will be introduced to you one per week beginning Monday, July 12th. Look for them in the almost weekly eNews from The Columbia Partnership.
The board also had significant conversations with a potential denominational partner and a strategic alliance with a sister ministry organization. Both conversations have the potential to broaden and deepen the services TCP offers to a variety of clients. Look for details on this partnership and strategic alliance this fall.
The new Ministry Associates help The Columbia Partnership increase its capacity in several areas of ministry. Six partners and associates are now available to lead the Spiritual Strategic Journey process to assist congregations and denominational organizations in imagining and living into their full kingdom potential.
Three partners and associates concentrate in the area of Coaching Leaders which is the primary approach to leadership development pursued by TCP. Coach training offered by TCP focuses on the dimension of coaching called strategic framework coaching.
Developing Resources is the newest area of focus for The Columbia Partnership. With the new additions to TCP, four people are now available to serve congregations, denominations, and parachurch organizations in the areas of capital campaigns, planned giving, and annual giving.
