Moving from Bureaucracy Toward Innovation
Does it take a long time to get decisions made in your church? Is the process more complex than it has to be? The typical bureaucracy is inflexible, stifles creativity and operates in an inefficient manner (hint: think government). Nearly all organizations, including congregations, will by nature move toward operating as a bureaucracy unless it acts with great intentionality to prevent such a movement.
This webinar focuses on not only preventing bureaucracy, but on establishing principles of organizational innovation, which is the opposite of bureaucracy.
Establishing Alignment with Your Church's Vision
Over an extended period of time, no organization can be effective without what is called ‘alignment’. Organizational alignment occurs when the component parts of an organization are pointed in the same direction. What are the component parts? They include physical assets like people and facilities, and even intangibles like philosophy, beliefs, values, and vision.
This webinar will help you understand organizational alignment and how to make it happen in your organizational context. We will look at a paradigm for organizational planning that can be a very effective vehicle for creating organizational alignment.
Effectively Communicating Your Church's Vision
Nothing is any more frustrating to a leader than pouring his or her heart out, trying to communicate their idea of vision for the organization, and realizing that it doesn’t take. The fact is that good communication has to be targeted. Different people hear things different ways.
This webinar will help the leader understand how to vary that communication in order to get maximum impact.
Helping Your People Buy In to your Church's Direction
How can you move your congregation forward if the members and participants don’t believe in the church’s direction? The simple answer is “You can’t.” But churches still try different things to generate that buy-in, and very seldom do they find positive results. But, there are ways to do it. They may take time and effort, but it is always worth it in the end. Let’s face it –you don’t move forward without your people moving with you!
In this webinar we will look at some of those ideas for getting your people to own the direction of the congregation, and how the leader can make it happen.
