Bill has been Senior Pastor of Willow Ridge Church in Lexington, SC, for the
past 19 years. With humble beginnings, the church has grown from a struggling group of 40 to a
thriving congregation, reaching different ethnic groups, located on a beautiful
31 acre campus.
In 1992, Bill secured his region denomination to conduct his church’s first capital campaign. This capital effort resulted in what was at that time, the most successful campaign in the state conventions history. As a result, Bill was asked to serve as a Capital Consultant for the South Carolina Baptist Convention. After several years of leading successful campaigns, Bill resigned from the convention’s capital staff, and spent two years studying the programs of the largest capital firms in the country. These years of study resulted in the birth of New Vision Consulting.
For the past 15 years, Bill has been leading successful capital campaigns in churches and non-profit organizations, raising millions of dollars for the expansion of God’s kingdom. In 2008, he was asked to serve as Capital Campaign Coordinator for The Columbia Partnership. The Columbia Partnership is now scheduling campaigns for the fall of 2009.
Bill is also
adjunct professor for Western Seminary, where he teaches Coach Certification
classes at their Portland, San Jose and Sacramento campuses.
At the age of 12, the disappointment of a dirt bike accident turned into a destined injury when a pretty brunette signed the cast on Bill’s ankle. That signature was the beginning of a relationship that has turned into 28 wonderful years of marriage. Bill and Jennifer live in Lexington, SC and consider raising their three college age sons to be the greatest privilege of their lives.
Besides following
the activities of his 3 sons, Bill is an avid cyclist, pedaling over 100 miles
a week.
He is a graduate
of Carson Newman College and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where
he earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Psychology and Counseling
respectively.
